Welcome to the Website of the Saint Mary's University Conservative Society (SMUCS).

The Saint Mary's University Conservative Society (SMUCS) was founded in October of 2023 in response to the lack of a right-wing student organisation on the campus of Saint Mary's University, Twickenham. Despite the long history of the University, dating back to 1830 when Saint Mary's was founded as Saint Mary's College, by the Brothers of Christian Instruction, a Catholic religious order which seeks to "educate the young and to make Jesus Christ better known and better loved", Saint Mary's University has never had a dedicated Conservative Society until the first Semester of 2023.

The SMUCS Committee wishes to:

• Strengthen the classical Conservative cause amongst undergraduates and postgraduates belonging to St. Mary's University,

• Provide Members of the Society with a manifold selection of intellectually stimulating lectures and talks from a vast array of different speakers and lecturers,

• Provide Members of the Society with an active and sociable group of like-minded individuals, and to provide enjoyable social events such as 'Port and Policy', Pub Socials, and Formal Dinners.
